1974 Jeep CJ5. 6 Cylinder 258. Runs, Drives and Stops. Currently Titled, Registered, and Stored in Hermosa Beach, California. I bought this jeep about 6 years ago. It has been used for local transportation in the South Bay of Los Angeles primarily for beach trips and surfing. When I bought this vehicle, I had the 3 speed transmission rebuilt and clutch replaced. I also had a new gas tank installed. Battery replaced about 1-2 years ago and vehicle is kept on a battery tender when not being used. There is a Warn (Jeep Branded) 8274 winch installed, which worked when I bought jeep, but I cannot comment on its (current) functionality as I do not use it or have a controller for it. There is a locking Tuffy Storage box with cup holders between front seats. Bikini top included. No other top or doors. The speedometer functions and the odometer functions, but the true mileage of the jeep is unknown. During my ownership I put approximately 3000 local miles on the vehicle. The fuel gauge works intermittently. The oil pressure gauge and Amp gauge work fine. The heater and radio do not work. I believe this vehicle has its original paint and has minimal surface rust. Also, the tub and floors are in great condition without significant rust. Please check out the pictures. Also included in the auction are a matching fifth spare wheel and tire and Tow bar which I have never used. The vehicle runs and has served me well for short trips. I do not drive it on the 405 and have not driven it long distances. There is smoke and smell to exhaust, but being a 1974 vehicle it is exempt from California Smog inspection. It is a cool old jeep. People always comment and like it, but I no longer have garage space to keep it. I hate to sell it. It could be an excellent starting point for a great restoration project. Old jeeps like these without rust, and original paint are very hard to find. It is a great Southern California vintage Jeep. I've done my best to describe this vehicle to the best of my ability.
