Look Ma, No Power Cord! QRP 80/40m Dual 6V6 CW Transmitter

Description

This is a quirky little novelty QRP transmitter, with a dc to ac inverter circuit for a power supply, which uses a 6.3 volt transformer, 3x Li-on 3.7 volt rechargeable batteries, and a couple of 2N3055 power transistors. Great for portable use. No ac power cord necessary!
Batteries are not included, but you can find them easily on eBay, along with the charger (26650 lithium-ion types required).
I get just over 2 watts output on 80 meters. It will run for several hours before needing to recharge the batteries. Even though it is battery powered, you will still need to use the same safety precautions afforded any electronic equipment with high voltage. The no load output from the power supply is about 240 volts dc. So it can be LETHAL if you do not handle it with proper respect!
I get just a hint of chirp with the HC49/U QRP crystals, but can typically tune it out with careful adjustment of the PA Pi-network capacitor. I do not usually detect any chirp at all when using a standard FT-243 crystal.
A hand-sketched diagram of the full circuit will be provided to the purchaser of this item, along with a locator drawing for the controls and connectors.
One coil and one QRP cw crystal will be provided for both the 80 and 40 meter bands. With the proper antennas, along with additional coils and crystals, no reason why this little transmitter would not work for 160 and 30 meters.
Sold as is, but I guarantee this rig will work if hooked up properly.
