The Microlife Digital Peak Flow Meter with FEV1 is the doctor's choice for managing diseases that restrict lung performance. This advanced meter for spirometry includes a digital diary and measures air flow velocity and volume (FEV1) to indicate early warning signs for impending asthmatic incidents or conditions. Using these measurements in conjunction with a doctor's consultation allows patients with asthma, COPD and other lung diseases to manage their condition.
What is PEF: PEF is Peak Expiratory Flow, or in other words measures how fast you can push air out of your lungs.
What is FEV: FEV is Forced Expiratory Volume, or in other words measures how much air a person can exhale during a forced breath.
Specifications
Peak Flow readings: Accuracy ± 25 l/min or 12% of the reading, whichever is greater
Peak Flow readings: Range ± 0.1 or 50 to 900 l/min.
FEV1 readings: Accuracy ± 0.1 or ± 5% of the reading, whichever is greater
FEV1 readings: Range 0.01 to 9.99
Measurement duration Measures after blowing as a hard/fast as possible into tube, 3 measurements are recommended for best results
